Noisy, not because of the motorway, but because the hotel is located on an industrial estate. Behind the accommodation block was a huge warehouse where loading of vehicles was in operation. Very noisy indeed even with windows closed. Staff ok, room was made up each day and towels replaced daily. Bath was chipped in several places. Missing and broken bulbs rooms tired needing refurbishment. Beds where very worn. The springs are coming through the mattress. I refused my first room because of this, the second room not much better. To find any support on the mattress you been to sleep on the edge, but as the mattress is so worn, your body rolls into the dip in the centre of the mattress. Overall not a pleasant stay. Holiday Inn express over the road is 100 times better for little difference in cost.
Constant hum of the traffic crossing the bridge didn't help in getting a good night's sleep, bedside lamp didn't work, meant really poor lighting so not much laptop work achieved ! BT Sport advertised so we thought watching the football whilst having a spot of lunch, oh no, they not renewed license! Not as bad as some but if it's sleep you want, try somewhere quiet....
A cheap, basic motel experience. Ideal for a fuss free overnight stay. Friendly staff welcome. And a lounge area with a bar serving food.
It's not bad, not bad at all. Yes, it's in an industrial area. Yes, it's locked next to the motorway. But hey, the hotel can't do anything about that... The rooms are clean, beds are fine, and a specious bathroom. The breakfast is great. Only negatives I have is the amount of power outlets, two is really not much. And just the little things that add up. That's why 4, not 5 stars. I have read many negative reviews of this hotel and I don't agree. You cannot compare a two star hotel to a four star hotel. For a two star hotel is it a good hotel as long you don't mind the noices of the motorway or industrial area.
Clean hotel, great for short stay. The breakfast was tasty too. I liked that the hotel was next to a pond and had some ground to walk around. However, the room's interior was dated and needed a bit of refurbishment. Not complaining though, great stay for the price.
