Have been using Kent Curry for 20 years. Noticed the recent poor reviews so felt like offering my experience. I ate here the day before Xmas eve and had a delicious meal as always. The manager, Raj, has always been a perfect gentleman and sees that we always receive a great service either when we takeaway or dine in the restaurant. I have dined at many Indian restaurants over the years and have found Kent Curry to offer consistently good food. I think anyone who uses the same curry house regularly will have experienced an 'off' day with the quality, I feel this is the nature of the alchemy that makes curry house curry so inimitable. I like the ambience in the restaurant as it has a more 'old school' feel than some of the more pretentious 'contemporary' restaurants. The staff have even switched the music from mainstream pop, to traditional music at my request. The Sunday buffet is great value and always delicious. The restaurant always gives me the feeling that quality and service is paramount rather than just grabbing your money. Give it a go, the Chicken Rezalla is lovely!
This place came up as a match for me on the Google app, I thought let's try it out. OMG! This made a mockery of the algorithm Google uses. The food came over like the stuff a person who couldn't cook would knock up following recipes. The service was non-existent. And there was absolutely nothing thrown in. Sorry, that's not true, the after dinner chocolates were thrown in and to be honest they were the best thing about the whole experience.
Seem to be short of staff so service very poor. Definitely had better Indian food than this. Won't be returning. Even witnessed a member of staff having an argument on the phone. He eventually slammed the phone down ripped up a receipt and stormed through to the back. Probably a disappointed customer.

We arrived at 7.30pm and left at 11.30 pm. The food is yummy but the service is slow. It's very reasonable in money too. For 10 of us with starts Kain's drinks and desserts it was 240
