After deciding to have 20 year old top front incisor veneers replaced since they were done very badly as a teenager by NHS dentist, I decided to go and see Maeve Logue and she recommended to have the veneers drilled-out and bleached, not replaced as I wanted. I ended with a chipped-off corner from my veneers 2 weeks after completed procedure without actually eating! Going back to her with a chipped front tooth, she then recommended to have them replaced at an extortionist price. I have had them for over 20 years without a problem and since going to see her they broke! Also a filling on a molar had come loose during that time so she filled- it in at a cost of 180. After filling I was left with sensitivity and unable to eat that side of my mouth. Gone back and she said quote "The teeth starts with a 10 and each time it get's treated the life decreases down to a zero", all that she can do is a root canal treatment at a very expensive price!Of course walking around with a corner missing from my top front teeth was not ideal, so I went to an NHS surgery. The first thing they did? repaired my front teeth so I didn't have to hide my chipped tooth. a simple 2 minute procedure Maeve could have done but instead wanted me to pay big money and have them replaced with her. They suggested the sensitive molar should be left for a few months to see of improvement, after months now the sensitivity has gone away. This is something she should have advised but instead wanted to do another root canal procedure!Bottom line, if going private, choose a dentist with unbiased interests,.
